As things stand

So nothing’s changed in a long time, hence I’ve been very quiet. I’ve spent a lot of time reading through the latest proposals submitted in April and eagerly await the Council’s response. It would be great to see things get moving at long last, though I think it’s fair to say that the general consensus out there on the internet is that not enough’s been changed in the most recent plan to warrant any difference in the outcome. Perhaps it’s just that on the whole supporters are just a quiet bunch? We wait.

For my part, much of what I’ve said before holds. The sheer density of the development is immense, but at least the site’s access from the Evelyn Triangle through the Sayes Court gardens hugely improves the sites potential links to the existing community. I can see an afternoon’s stroll down to the waterfront or the prospect of a ferry commute now being a very pleasant opportunity. Here’s hoping…
